Where should I park?  

There is public parking in the lot behind the Courthouse. However, this lot is small and tends to fill up quickly. You may also park on the street for up to 2 hours. Parking is up to you to secure.

How much do I get paid? 

Jurors get paid $15.00 each day they check in, even if they are not chosen for the jury.

When do I get paid? 

Jurors are only paid 3 times a year. This is usually at the end of January, the beginning of May, and the beginning of September.

Do I get paid if I am not selected to serve on the jury?

Yes, as long as you checked in the Clerk’s office.

When should I check the jury line?  

It is best to check in the morning before you leave your house for jury duty.

If I cannot serve how can I get excused?

Only the Judge’s offices can excuse you from jury duty.

How long does jury duty last?

Jury duty tends to last for 4 months. However, if you are chosen to serve on a jury you will then be excused after the service.

If I am selected, how long does a trial usually last?

Trials can vary in length. They usually tend to be a day or two, but can last much longer depending on the type of trial.

If I am selected, do I still have to call in for the full 4 months? 

No. Once you serve the Judge will then excuse you from jury duty.

 

When do trials take place?  

Trials are typically held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, the Judge may change these days to fit the trial schedule.
